I hope that the Chapter 1 Test went well. Your HW for tonight is just one problem, to prepare you for Monday's lesson:
HW 18
pg. 93 # 5 a and b
For part a remember you'll use the slope formula, and for part b you'll need the point-slope form of equation of a line. Also, remember that a tangent line to a circle is perpendicular to the radius at the point of tangency.
The solutions for the Chapter 1 Review are on the website. I did make an error on problem #8, as spotted by Michael Mann: the answer should be 7, not 31. I'll be in tutorials today after school and tomorrow morning at 7:15. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.
Sorry for the delay in posting this but here's the HW for Tuesday/Wednesday night, over Section 1.5, Infinite Limits. You can also begin working on the Chapter 1 Review in preparation for Friday's Chapter 1 Test.
Yeah, that's what happens when you ride over 3 miles on the highway with a flat. Not recommended. Anyway...Today we covered Section 1.4a, over continuity. Your homework over the weekend is the 1.4 WKS (available on the website).
I hope you feel good about the Chapter 1 Quiz today. We'll be having a Chapter 1 Test (1.2-1.5) next Friday, September 25th. Here's the HW for tonight, just two problems dealing with the Squeeze Theorem (see video on post below). HW 14
Your homework is to complete the 1.2-1.3 Quiz Review in preparation for the 1.2-1.3 Quiz tomorrow. Solutions are now on the web under "1.2-1.3QuizReview(+)"! Also, check out the above video on the Squeeze Theorem. Good luck!
Great job in class today! Let's keep it up! Announcement: We will be having a Quiz over Sections 1.2 and 1.3 (evaluating limits numerically, graphically and analytically) next Wednesday, Sept. 16th. Here's the HW for tonight:
I hope everyone did well today on the Quiz. Next week we begin the calculus material. Remember that your Mathematical Modeling Project is due (printed out) by 1st period on Tuesday. Please come to tutorials today if you are having trouble with it (alst chance!) Your HW for tonight is as follows: HW 9
Appendix A.7 (the hand out) #'s 1, 5, 9, 11, 15, 19, 21, 29, 33, 39, 43, 49
Your HW tonight is to work on the Chapter P/Appendix D Review. In an effort to help you concentrate on the essential parts of the review tonight, I am deeming the following problems from the review as optional
